Requirements and characteristics for customizing acrylic bottles
发布日期:2025/7/9

Acrylic bottles are a new type of plastic container that has better product advantages compared to other glass and metal containers. In terms of physical properties, acrylic bottles have the following characteristics.
1: Mechanical characteristics
The mechanical properties of acrylic bottles include tensile strength, tensile elasticity, elongation at break, flexural strength, flexural elasticity, impact strength, Rockwell hardness, compressive strength, low-temperature compressive strength, cutting strength, etc. The testing methods for these mechanical properties include ASTM technology and D790, D785 technology.
2: Optical characteristics
From the appearance, acrylic bottles have good transparency, so under the illumination of light, their viewing effect will be relatively good. The optical characteristics of acrylic bottles include transparency (required to be above 92.5%), yellowing index, refractive index, and welding test values.
3: Thermal characteristics
Due to the fact that acrylic bottles need to be molded in an environment with a high temperature of over 170 degrees Celsius, they have relevant thermal characteristics, mainly including thermal deformation temperature, Vickers softening temperature, linear thermal expansion rate, thermal conductivity, horizontal combustion value, molding temperature, recommended critical point combustion temperature, etc.
4: Electrical characteristics
The electrical characteristics of acrylic bottles consist of two main parts: arc resistance and dielectric strength. The arc resistance point requires a voltage greater than 600 volts, and the dielectric strength requirement is above 18.3 kilovolts per millimeter.
5: Other characteristics
In addition to the conventional physical properties mentioned above, the specific gravity value of acrylic bottles is above 1.09, and the water absorption rate is generally required to be above 0.265%.
Acrylic bottle customization requirements
Acrylic bottles can be used as decorative items for crafts, while others are used as containers for food. When used as a food container, there are some different requirements for customizing acrylic bottles.
1: Differences in craftsmanship
The material of acrylic bottles can be divided into food grade materials and non food grade materials based on the production process. This is mainly due to the heating temperature during the production process. When the temperature is heated above 250 degrees, some harmful metal elements will be dissolved at high temperatures. If the temperature does not reach 250 degrees, some stubborn metal elements will still exist in the raw materials. The overall requirements for the production process of food grade acrylic bottles will be more stringent.
2: Product stability
With the continuous improvement of the production process of acrylic bottles, the current acrylic bottles are basically indistinguishable. In terms of product stability, food grade containers have higher requirements for the stability and transparency of the container itself, requiring light stability and higher sealing requirements for the stored substances.
3: Comprehensive practicality
The capacity of acrylic bottles used to hold food is generally not required to be too large, as long as they can meet the requirements for food packaging. In the customization of products, it is necessary to determine the size of the container and have better plasticity. Some food containers need to be printed with relevant text and pictures on the outside. The outer packaging effect of acrylic bottles should not affect the overall transparency and usability of the container.
